About the role

Are you a results-oriented natural leader with the ability to develop people, teams, and business processes? Our ideal candidate will have intimate knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP Systems and demonstrated values of ethical accountability and teamwork. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead a small team of buyers, planners, and inventory control associates. Your success will be determined by how you impact our culture of continuous improvement, develop talent, and achieve our policy deployment objectives. This is a hybrid position that will need to live within commutable distance to the London, ON, office.

Provide coaching, mentoring and support to team members to improve overall team performance and provide growth and development opportunities

Establish procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a JIT basis, development of the PSI (Production, Sales and Inventory) forecasting process in collaboration with key stake holders , optimize inventory controls, WHMS

Use DBS (Danaher Business System) tools to drive customer satisfaction and supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance

Ensure compliance with Trojan/Danaher polices regarding document preparation and submission, record keeping, auditing, monitoring and compliance screening

Integrate team activities with other departments and maximize synergies with other function areas

Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years purchasing experience in a technical environment

Minimum of 3 years in an operations leadership position or leading Contract Manufacturing Companies

Relevant post-secondary degree (Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, BEng., BA, BComm)

CSCP, CPIM, PMP, SCMP or CITT accreditation considered an asset

Proven track record of implementing process improvements based on the long term, "big picture" and short-term perspectives
