What you'll do

Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct bending sequences and tooling requirements. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in dimensions. Collaborate with CNC operators to integrate processes involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling, and CNC lathe operations. Maintain equipment by conducting regular inspections and performing basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and electrical discharge machining techniques for various fabrication tasks. Work safely with overhead cranes and forklifts to transport materials around the shop floor. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Basic qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments. Proficient in blueprint reading and basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Familiarity with various machining processes including welding, plasma cutting, stamping press operations, and tooling setups. Valid driver's license with clean abstract.

Preferred qualifications

Experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment in a production setting. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Previous experience with quality inspection processes in a manufacturing context.

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
