Summary

As a Preschool Educator working alongside another educator, you will both play a pivotal role in shaping young minds, fostering development, and ensuring a safe, and nurturing learning environment. You will be responsible for guiding children aged preschool to kindergarten in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This includes:

Creating a stimulating and safe classroom environment Planning educational activities that align with developmental milestones Encouraging positive peer relationships Communicating effectively with parents and team members

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents. Collaborate with other childcare educators to create a positive team atmosphere. Observe and assess children's developmental milestones, adjusting activities as necessary to meet individual needs.

Hours

Monday to Friday afternoons

12:30pm to 4:30pm 12:30pm to 5:30pm (closing shift with another Educator)

Ability to mentor, encourage, and work with children Self-motivated and able to motivate others Ability to participate within a team setting Work collaboratively with staff and families to ensure a supportive environment

Assets

Strong background in Early Childhood Education Knowledge of Early Childhood Education Regulations

Requirements

Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check ECE Certification level 2 or 3 Knowledge of the Curriculum Framework: Alberta Flight*
Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
