Better Beginnings Early Learning and Child Care is seeking to fill full time and part-time/casual educator positions. What will you be doing?
As an
Early Childhood Educator
, you will work with your co-educators and families to provide a safe and loving environment for the children in our care.

Responsibilities include:
Observing and documenting the abilities, interests, and needs of the children.
Providing active supervision and positive child guidance strategies at all times.
Developing and implementing holistic programming that is in line with the Better Beginnings ELCC Philosophy and Mission Statement.
Creating and maintaining a responsive environment that is welcoming, engaging, and protects the well-being of the children.
Communicating effectively and establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
Adhering to Alberta's Child Care Licensing Act and Regulations, as well as Health and Safety Requirements.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility and classroom materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Early Childhood Education - Level 2 or 3 Certification - or willing to obtain within 6 months.
Knowledge of the Child Care Licensing and Health and Safety requirements, and adherence to them in daily practice.
Clean Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector.
Must be available Monday to Friday 6:30am to 6pm. Flexibility is required as shifts may change last minute based on the needs of the day.
Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays.
Assets:
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
Knowledge of Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework*
Wage to be decided based on education and experience. In addition to the base wage, the Government Wage Enhancement is available and is based on certification level.
