Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as a passion for the food industry. As a Prep Cook, you will assist in preparing ingredients and maintaining the kitchen environment to support our chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the head chef. Ensure all food items are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling. Support the cooking staff during service by preparing garnishes and side dishes as needed. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the culinary industry. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.

Pay: $19.50-$20.50 per hour
