This position works out of our Ottawa, Ontario location in the Point of Care, Diagnostics division. As the Complaint Investigator, you'll have the chance to review customer complaint information, conduct product testing, analyze data, document the investigation and conduct risk management activities.

What You'll Do

Be responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Review customer complaint text.

Conduct thorough investigation to determine root cause of the complaint issue.

Document the investigation outcome in a clear, concise manner and in compliance with guiding procedures

Shift: Monday - Friday

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree, preferably in a science and/or engineering discipline. ASQ certification, advanced degree a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

Three to five years experience in clinical laboratory with specific experience performing and evaluating standard clinical hematology tests is highly desirable.

Has in-depth understanding of APOC products, processes, technologies and clinical utility.

Has very good deductive reasoning skills and the ability to recognize and evaluate complex and/or sensitive technological issues.

Background / Skills / Experience

Must possess superior writing skills with ability to organize facts and data from multiple sources, extract key information and prepare investigation reports, customer impact analyses and formal investigation summaries. Possess superb organizational and multitasking skills with ability to focus on multiple investigations on daily basis. Must be detail oriented with keen awareness of GMP issues. Strong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with various departments and vendors. Must be independent, efficient and self-motivated. Two to three years of experience in QA organization, with experience in the Abbott complaint handling system is desirable.
