Latem industries is a manufacturing facility located on Struck Court in Cambridge Ontario. We clean and/or coat metal parts.

This role is for a new Powder Coating (and Ecoating) line.

Experience with Powder Paint is required.



The day shift time may vary depending on production needs and is yet to be finalized. The start time could be from 6:30am or a bit later such as 8:30am. It will be 8 hours (plus a half hour lunch) each day, Monday to Friday. NO STUDENTS.

The bus does not get you here for 6:30am. You must have your own transportation.



Duties include but are not limited to:



Technical Skills & Experience (Powder Painting)



Extensive Powder Coating Knowledge:



Application Techniques:

Proficiency in operating powder coating equipment (spray guns, booths), understanding different spray methods (e.g., electrostatic application), and ensuring proper adhesion and coverage.

Surface Preparation:

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with surface preparation techniques (cleaning, sanding, masking, phosphating) crucial for a quality finish.

Curing Techniques:

Familiarity with various curing methods and oven operation to ensure optimal product finish and durability.

Material Knowledge:

Understanding of different powder coating materials, their properties, and suitable applications.

Quality Control:

Keen eye for detail to inspect finished products for defects (e.g., runs, sags, uneven coverage) and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Ability to perform routine maintenance on powder coating equipment, hoses, pumps, spray guns, and troubleshoot operational issues.

Color Matching/Consistency:

Experience in maintaining consistent color and texture across batches.

Safety Compliance:

Thorough knowledge and adherence to all safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of 2-5 years of direct experience in powder coating in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with various parts, sizes, and complexities. Experience in a fast-paced production environment with quotas.

Communication:



Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey instructions, goals, and feedback to the team and other stakeholders. Active listening skills to understand team members' concerns and ideas. Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships.

Highly motivated "self-starter" who can understand what needs to be done and how to get it done without constant supervision. Proactive in identifying and addressing needs or improvements. Ability to maintain motivation even when challenges arise.

Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks, set realistic deadlines, and ensure timely completion of work. Strong organizational skills to manage personal workload, resources, and information. Ability to plan daily production schedules and assign tasks accordingly.

Ability to efficiently and effectively adjust to new conditions, changes in production demands, or unexpected problems. Openness to new ideas and willingness to implement process improvements.

Unyielding commitment to product quality and meticulous attention to detail in their own work and the team's output.
The successful candidate will have a great work ethic and be a team player. They will also work accordingly in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various chemicals, coatings and machinery. This role must respect and adhere to strict safety protocols and use of PPE etc.
