Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled

Powder Coating Technician

with hands-on experience in

Teflon (PTFE) coating applications

to join our production team. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying powder and Teflon coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of components according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, and sandblasting as required Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment in accordance with job specifications Apply Teflon/PTFE coatings (spray, bake, or dip methods) per process standards and safety protocols Operate ovens and curing equipment to ensure proper coating adhesion and finish Inspect coated parts for quality, thickness, adhesion, and finish Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic maintenance on coating equipment Document work performed and ensure traceability where required Collaborate with QA and production teams to resolve issues and meet delivery timelines

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in industrial powder coating

Experience with Teflon/PTFE or fluoropolymer coating applications

is strongly preferred Familiarity with coating equipment, ovens, and surface prep tools Ability to read and interpret job travelers, drawings, and coating specifications Strong attention to detail and quality standards Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling parts and equipment Knowledge of safety and environmental practices related to coating operations

Preferred Skills:

NACE or other coating certification is an asset Experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment Ability to work independently and within a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
