Job Description

Huyck Industrials Ltd provides manufacturing companies with a wide range of industrial supplies and specializes in coatings. Due to rapid growth, Huyck Industrials Ltd requires a full-time Powder Coat Painter to join our team. The Powder Coat Painter is responsible for applying quality powder coating to a variety of aluminum products using an electrostatic painting system. Powder coating provides a high quality, durable finish and is eco-friendly.

Full-time:

40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 4:30pm and Fridays from 7:00am to 11:00am.

SKILLS YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:

Hands on training in powder application - manual spraying Coating of a wide range of products and profiles Weigh and Mix Powder/Surface Preparation/Drying and Curing Inspection before and after coating to ensure quality specs are met Troubleshooting common quality issues General routine maintenance of powder coating system and booth Cross training in our other stations for an overall understanding of the powder coating/production process Safety training in the use of respirators and grounding

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train candidate with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills

Have a willingness to learn our processes and techniques and uphold our high-quality assurance standards Be able to complete work orders accurately, capable of speaking, reading and writing English Have CSA approved footwear; all other PPE will be fitted and supplied Respirator required:

must be clean shavenwhere the respirator seals with your face Be physically fit, able to be active on the job, and lift up to 50lbs Have excellent attendance Be able to push and pull heavy metal profiles on manual transfer load bar system

Be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in the lower mainland
