Post-Secondary Instructor, Pharmacy Technician



Term Dates: August 25, 2025 to February 27, 2026



Rate of Pay: $55.42 to $75.40 per hour



Location: Pembina Campus



Hours of Work: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm





Reporting to the Academic Coordinator, the PS Instructor demonstrates subject matter expertise, student-centered instructional approaches, and pedagogical practices and technological proficiency appropriate to blended learning course design for the following courses in the Pharmacy Technician program (applicants will not require pharmacy-specific subject matter expertise):

Human Body Systems and Disease States I (PT-150)

- September 1 to December 12, 2025, 13 Tuesdays and 14 Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Human Body Systems and Disease States II (PT-160)

- January 5 to February 20, 2026, 7 Tuesdays and 7 Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Duties will include course delivery using MITT approved course curriculum, supporting student success through well-developed assessment and feedback processes, and maintaining course and student records. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in Program area meetings and contribute to accreditation activities, as well as participate in other College-based committees or activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience:



A combination of related education and experience may be considered.

Degree in a relevant discipline. Have Undergraduate level Anatomy and Physiology course work. Experience in instructing, training or facilitating.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

:

Degree or diploma in adult education. Licensed pharmacist (RPh) or a listed pharmacy technician (RPEBC-PT). Experience with Microsoft Office is considered an asset. Experience using a Learning Management System is an asset. On-line/blended learning teaching experience is an asset. Previous instructional or demonstrated curriculum development experience. Solid working knowledge of the CCAPP standards, NAPRA competencies, and CPTEA educational outcomes.

Conditions of Employment:



Legally entitled to work in Canada. Successful completion of a Criminal Record check including vulnerable sector and Child Abuse Registry Check.

An eligibility list may be created for similar positions. Developmental opportunities may be available for candidates who do not meet all of the requirements of the position.
