Post Doctoral Fellow

Primary Purpose: Applications are invited for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow to undertake research to conduct a 5-year economic evaluation of a newly developed and implemented Long COVID (post COVID condition) integrated clinical care pathway within the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Saskatchewan, CANADA.

Nature of Work: This work will be directly supervised by Dr. Gary Groot, an embedded clinician scientist within SHA. The five-year project will engage a collaborative multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, healthcare decision makers, patient partners and other student trainees. Some travel may be required.

Accountabilities: The successful candidate will have ongoing engagement with patient partners, health system stakeholders, clinicians, and other academics. The PDF will take the lead on the economic evaluation of integrated pathways in SHA. Some grant preparation and teaching will also be part of PDF duties.

Education: The successful candidate will have completed a PhD in health economics or health services research within the last 5 years.

Experience: The PDF will have knowledge of Canadian health care systems and health economics.

Skills: The PDF will have demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Prior work with patient partners or patient populations is an asset. Advanced computing skills, including Microsoft Office and statistical programs, is required.
