Pop-Up Shop Event Staff (Part-Time / Full-Time Temp Opportunities)

Dates: Nov Nov 26 (setup/training) to Dec 7 (teardown)

About the gig



Join a seasonal pop-up shop activation promoting a Canadian-made sustainable women's fashion brand. We're looking for friendly, sales-oriented staff to bring retail energy and customer care to the short-term, high-impact experience at the 2025 One of a Kind Show.

Key Dates & Hours



Training:

Nov 20 or 21st at Offices in Etobicoke, ON (2 hours)

On-Site Setup:

Nov 26 on-site in Toronto (1-2 hours)

Shop open:

Nov 27 - Dec 7 (Hours vary)

Teardown:

Dec 7 evening Flexible part-time or full-time shifts during the run - we're looking for people who can work a minimum of 4 shifts (32 hours) during the two weeks. Full-time option available. Shifts are available between: 930am - 8pm Monday-Wednesday 930am - 9pm Thursdays, Friday 930am - 8pm Saturdays 930am - 5pm Sundays

Compensation



Base pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 / hour depending on experience Plus commission on attributed sales

Responsibilities



Greet and engage customers with warmth and authenticity to educate about our Brand Share brand stories, product details, and styling recommendations Help customers find the right size, product and fit, and monitor changeroom Checkout customers using the POS system (training provided, hosted on Shopify) Savvy with tech and able to capture social content on downtime Maintain and refresh visual displays to keep them tidy and inviting Do periodic inventory counts and advise head office on re-order needs Steam/tidy clothing as needed for restocks Assist in setup (Nov 26) and teardown (Dec 7) Contribute positively to team environment in a fast-paced retail activation Open the pop-up and securely close the pop up at end of day

What We're Looking For



Previous clothing or fashion retail sales experience -- essential Strong customer service skills; outgoing, approachable, reliable Outgoing personality - comfortable approaching people and sharing about the brand Experience using a POS / iPad and processing debit/credit transactions Experience using Shopify POS a plus Reliable and punctual A sense of independence and strong work ethic Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, temporary retail environment Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, organizing, moving stock). Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, move product/materials as needed Available to work a minimum of 32-hours total during the pop-up time frame (11 days), more shifts available if desired.
