We are offering an Immediate full-time position, aiming to start by September 2025 at the latest.

FlexPak is a dynamic company pioneering and developing Testing Equipment for the Packaging industry. Our goal is to develop new testing solutions and regulations for the Packaging industry and develop an empowered community filled with passionate people. We currently serve over 1000 customers globally in a number of different industries.

We are looking to add a team member into our fabrication shop. On day one you will be immersed into the manufacturing process, learning how to build our leak detection equipment from start to finish. This will include everything from machining acrylic to crating the final product for shipping. On the job training will be provided to learn our processes.

The Ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and have experience within a manufacturing/production/construction environment. Experience with the following will be a great asset: plastics (acrylic) fabrication, furniture or cabinet making (familiarity with various woodworking power tools), mechanical fitting and assembly (hardware assembly, plumbing lines, parts assembly), general manufacturing labour.

We recognize a combination of experience and knowledge in all above areas is unlikely, however, on-the-job training will be provided. We are willing to work with motivated candidates with entry level experience.

We do offer flexibility in a work schedule on a as-needed basis, start time and finish times can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule. Everyone is held responsible for their work and output.

Compensation


Starting compensation for this position is $24/hr.

Primary Responsibilities



Maintaining production schedules Communicating across departments teams Fabrication of main product Line Acrylic Fabrication (routing, drilling & tapping, gluing & polishing) Mechanical assembly of equipment to Acrylic Components Testing and Qualifying Equipment Crating and Shipping Equipment Control System Fabrication Mechanical assembly Hardware installations Managing parts and material quantities and notifying purchasing for restocking. Collaboration with Production Manager to maintain order delivery schedules. Maintain clean/safe workplace

Ideal Skills and Experience



Experienced and comfortable with the following machinery and tools will be an asset:

Orbital Sander Polisher/buffing wheels Benchtop Router Table Saw Lathe Drill (bench top, hand drills for tapping holes etc) Benchtop sander Grinding Wheels Ability to read mechanical and technical drawings Clear Communication with Team Members Organization Skills (Shop Management) 2+ years of shop/manufacturing/assembly experience

Note: A personal vehicle is required for this position. This is an on-site position and the employee will be responsible for commuting to and from the company's location daily.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
