We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Plant Operations Supervisor. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL requiring candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off (12-hour rotation).
Job Responsibilities:
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring team and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains and engages team by training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow.
Provides information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing the team on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Helps resolve team problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
Ensure that their crew understands the Short-Term Incentive (STI) and how each team member impacts upon it.
Instill and maintain a culture of high-performance teamwork amongst his/her crew.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

Skills and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry including Plant operations, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
Previous supervisory experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
Excellent work ethic and attendance record.
