Reporting to: Production Superintendent Position Summary: Location: The Caroline Gas Complex is currently looking for a motivated, safety-oriented individual to fill the
Caroline Gas Complex Operations Foreman role for their high-pressure sour gas plant situated near Caroline, Alberta. Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and processes. You will provide direct guidance and support to operating personnel and contractors to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: health and safety, production, operating costs, corporate values, environment, operator competence & training, regulatory, and emergency response while in care and control of the facility. • Responsible for overseeing the operation of a 1st class, 5000 e3m3/d sour gas plant with

fractionation unit, stabilization unit, deep cut, Sulphur plant and SCOT unit, and all associated utilities.

• Responsible for ensuring Environmental and Regulatory processes, policies and procedures

are followed.

• Provide consistent, visible leadership ensuring corporate policies, standards, procedures and

guidelines are followed.

• Manage employee performance and provide guidance for employee development.

• Ensure ERP readiness and capable of assuming lead role in the event of an emergency

including participating in Management On Call rotation

• Act as a liaison to management and other stakeholders i.e., Regulators, external

stakeholders, Joint Venture groups

• Ensure operations personnel are competent to function in their assigned roles.

• Communicate safety expectations and monitor compliance to corporate proactive safety

measures.

• Responsible to maintain collaborative and effective employee relations, handle daily

personnel issues as required. Including: Vacation, Flex Time, Sick leave etc.

• Ensure safety, production and cost targets are understood, communicated and achieved.

• Support the integrated maintenance schedule by working collaboratively with other

leadership team members and central support personnel.

• Lead opportunities in the reduction of waste and continuous improvement

• Ensure operational issues are accounted for in Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting

Education and Work Experience:

• 10+ Experience in sour gas processing facilities required

• Previous direct report leadership experience is required. Experience in a union setting is

preferred.

• nd class power engineering certificate preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications.

• Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations systems

• Excellent communication skills

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of appropriate regulations and operating approval requirements to maintain
