experienced and results-driven Plant Manager
for one of our valued clients in the manufacturing sector. This is a great opportunity to lead end-to-end plant operations, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, productivity, and team collaboration.
Position Summary:
The
Plant Manager
will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including production, safety, staffing, maintenance, and quality assurance. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily plant operations, including production, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance
Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, operators, and technicians
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce costs
Manage vendor and supplier relationships as required
Ensure proper training and development programs are in place for plant personnel
Qualifications:
Minimum
5 years of experience
in a plant or operations management role within a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and operational targets effectively
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset
