Position Summary: The role of the Inspector is to provide Operational support to the Asset with respect to Asset Integrity. The primary focus is on integrity management programs, inspection programs, materials and coatings selection, and corrosion control. The successful candidate will; \xc2\xb7 Work closely with site operations, maintenance, and technical personnel, as well as Calgary support groups, regulatory contacts, and service companies. \xc2\xb7 Accountable to ensure that Regulatory processes, policies, and procedures are enforced regarding integrity and inspections. \xc2\xb7 Support the Asset to achieve or exceed business targets. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with all disciplines/functions to deliver effective, efficient, and safe operations of the Asset. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Plan/direct/budget (within approved constraints) pressure equipment and pipeline integrity inspection, mitigation, and monitoring requirements for the Waterton Plant. \xc2\xb7 Fulfill regulatory requirements (i.e. communication, documentation) re: in-service equipment inspections and repairs. \xc2\xb7 Implement pressure equipment integrity management systems and processes. Includes the preparation of critical equipment Integrity Reference Plans (IRP\'s), inspection data analysis and improvement recommendations. \xc2\xb7 Troubleshoot failures & provide recommendations based on materials failure analysis and causal analysis. \xc2\xb7 Perform pressure equipment maintenance quality assurance duties on assigned assets. \xc2\xb7 Provide Technical support to site operating and maintenance personnel re: pressure equipment and integrity maintenance requirements. \xc2\xb7 Input to the annual budget process for integrity/inspection issues. \xc2\xb7 Support the Quality Control Program at the site during the execution of alterations & repairs. \xc2\xb7 Participate as an active member of the Pieridae Asset Integrity community. \xc2\xb7 Inspection support for the planning and executing inspection scope for maintenance turnarounds. \xc2\xb7 Understand and apply Provincial Regulatory requirements for Pressure equipment (AER & ABSA) and identify gaps and develop plans to close the gaps. Education and Work Experience: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 to 10 years Technical / Inspection experience. \xc2\xb7 Diploma in Materials, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering Technology from a recognized Institute. \xc2\xb7 API 510, 570, & ABSA PESL Certification. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of corrosion inspection (e.g. NDE), mitigation techniques, deterioration mechanisms, materials & coatings selection, failure analysis. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of sour gas Field Facilities and Gas Plants and the associated processes. \xc2\xb7 Skill in Inspection systems: Visions, pipeline inline inspections. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of risk / criticality-based inspection principles \xc2\xb7 Skill in preparing Integrity Reference Plans. \xc2\xb7 Skill in using surveillance tools (e.g. PI, Visions) \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ASME pressure piping & equipment codes and CSA industry standards \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Personal and Process Safety requirements. \xc2\xb7 Skill in communication, negotiation, and time management. \xc2\xb7 Skill in coaching, leading by example, facilitation, problem solving, and decision making. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the site budget and the asset accountability processes, including ability to create interventions as required. \xc2\xb7 Awareness of HSE assurance, leadership, and adherence to requirements of lifesaving rules. \xc2\xb7 Skill in applying knowledge of appropriate regulations and operating approval requirements within License to Operate. \xc2\xb7 Awareness of the asset Community commitments and the requirements to ensure compliance. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of joint venture processes and agreements. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of key work processes such as Operations Integrity, Permit to Work, Management of Change, and Management of Threats & Opportunities. \xc2\xb7 HS2 Alive training, confined space training, and WHMIS Pieridae is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
