Requirements:

Our Supply Chain Department is looking for a Planner/Production Control to manage a hybrid role that combines planning and scheduling responsibilities. The incumbent will coordinate material and supply planning, oversee order and commit scheduling, and manage NPI backlog in collaboration with engineering. The successful candidate will interact closely with operations, purchasing, quality, warehouse, and customer service to prioritize and expedite parts to meet deadlines, while generating and maintaining status reports and provides information as needed to support group.

Responsibilities:

Planning

Plan and manage material and supply requirements for the cable assembly line with Terra Nova. Execute order and commit scheduling to align with customer and internal priorities. Manage and process backlog in collaboration with engineering teams. Schedule NPI activities for the engineering department and oversee OTD and commit processes for timely product launches

Production Control

Schedule and prioritize jobs through work cells and outside operations to meet daily production plans Coordinate activities of the receiving clerk and purchasing Identify and resolve bottlenecks delaying critical jobs from being completed on time. Communicate with and obtain assistance from required personnel to resolve issues. Review cell demand and capacity with Operations Manager and Supervisors. Prepare production reports.

Education & Experience:

Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field

Additional Qualifications

Knowledge of Manufacturing & Outside Processes considered an asset Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing considered a strong asset Knowledge and use of MS Office suite and data management tools considered a strong asset High level of professional ethics and conduct Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks and projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail, time-management, organizational, and planning skills Sharing in a team-based environment and providing knowledge transfer when required Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion; this is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment Ability to collaborate with peers at all levels within the organization Health and Safety conscious Autonomous self-starter: can anticipate what needs to be done before being asked
