Position Title: Placement Support Officer
Status: Temporary part-time

Salary: (Min) $25.38 - (Max) $29.42 per hour
What you will do:
Under the direction of the Manager, Placements and International Initiatives, the Placement Support Officer performs duties associated with the work placement component within programs of the Faculty of Media and Creative Arts. Specifically, the Placement Support Officer will collaborate with the Work Integrated Learning Program Administrators to support a cluster of programs, responsible for facilitating the collection, tracking, and reporting of all pre-work placement documents.
The Placement Support Officer will also assist with general student support and advising including job application review and interview practice. In consultation with WIL Program Administrators, the incumbent will have oversight of policies and procedures related to the functions of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) department, provide guidance to students and employers, and coordinate activities such as workshops and events. The Placement Support Officers will assist with work placement related presentations to students, job development, contribute to career events, build/maintain relationships with employers/industry partners, and oversee the job posting portal. The Placement Support Officer will review work placement related data and be responsible for analyzing and developing reports, ensure WIL related website/program pages are up to date, assist in collecting student testimonials for marketing/communications, and other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the role:
Education:
Four-year degree in Business, Human Resources, Media, Creative Arts or equivalent.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years working with students in a post-secondary environment.
