Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and menus. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing offerings based on seasonal ingredients. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Monitor portion sizes and waste management to maintain cost efficiency in meal preparation.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations related to food handling. Experience in meal preparation for large groups is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide exceptional service to guests.
