PHYSIOTHERAPY AIDE

Position: Full Time Permanent

Probation Period: 6 months

DESCRIPTION:

Pan Am Rehabilitation Services is a private physiotherapy clinic located within the Pan Am Clinic and is currently seeking a full-time Physiotherapy Aide and a part time Physiotherapy Aide. The Physiotherapy Aide will assist with patient treatments under the supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist. They will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist physiotherapists with the preparation/application/removal of hot and cold packs, removal of electrical modalities

Prepares clients for their physiotherapy appointment by welcoming them and bringing them to their designated treatment space.

Ensure the physiotherapy clinic and equipment are always kept clean

Maintain clinic tidiness/appearance

Fabricate soft orthotics, fit custom orthotics in footwear

Laundry

Miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience working in a physiotherapy clinic as a Physiotherapy Aide preferred

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Strong ability to interact with other healthcare professionals, the clinical staff and the public is essential
