Job Description


As a Physiotherapist at Monarch House you will plan, develop, and monitor a variety of physical therapy support service delivery options to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other developmental delays or disabilities. You will consult with and teach instructional team members regarding pro-active, educational, programming; develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborate with team members, related service providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate. You will provide ongoing training and direct supervision to team members.Permanent, Part-timeSalary: $50-$55 per hourTake an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Ensure the implementation of treatment plans, document contacts and observations; use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategize continuous improvements.
  • Provide training and supervision of therapists through observations, meetings, performance coaching and other methods.
  • Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients receiving intervention. Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as required.
  • Seek creative options for ensuring the continuity and consistency of treatment and support services across settings for the lifespan of the client. Develop strategies for the stability of quality services when clients experience transitions.
  • Direct the treatment team regarding safe progression of exercises as well as functional tasks and work simulation to address key objective limitations, ensuring rationale for progression is clearly and concisely documented
  • Provide consultation, training, and assistance to external stakeholders outside
  • Review records and available data (e.g., educational, medical, historical) upon receipt of intake, prior to assessment.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and data collection systems to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives related only to family goals.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, or equivalent
  • Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months
  • Ability to travel within the community
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Access to a computer, email, and mobile device/cell phone.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Physiotherapist
  • Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to a reliable vehicle an asset
