Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. As an Owner Operator, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries that meet company and client expectations.

Responsibilities



Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles according to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements such as DOT regulations. Perform routine vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills



Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with a valid CDL license preferred. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT compliance and safety standards. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes using GPS or other tools. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other fleet management systems such as Epic or EMR systems is a plus. Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure. Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare-related logistics is advantageous but not required. This position offers the opportunity for autonomous work while being an integral part of our logistics operations. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards essential for successful performance in this role.

Pay: $200.00-$300.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
