Marly Medical is a well-run, community-minded family medicine clinic that's been serving Calgary for 20+ years. We're friendly, collaborative, and patient oriented. We're seeking Family Physicians to join our growing team. You'll deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan, including prevention, chronic disease management, and same-day/urgent issues. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions; prescribe medications and therapies; deliver counseling on lifestyle and risk reduction. Order, interpret, and act on labs/imaging; communicate results and coordinate referrals and care transitions. Perform select office-based procedures within training/scope (e.g., suturing, joint injections, cryotherapy). Maintain accurate EMR documentation; manage renewals/recalls; complete compliant AHCIP billing; follow CPSA, privacy, and infection-control standards. Collaborate with MOAs, the clinic manager, and external providers; participate in access and quality-improvement initiatives (including virtual visits where appropriate).

What You Can Expect

Estimated billings:

Could be in the range of ~$250,000-$450,000 annually, fee-for-service under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP)

As part of the Marly Medical team, you will have the opportunity to partner with an existing physician and their patient panel, and/or develop your own panel of patients with our support, and our extensive waitlist.

Clinic Support & Infrastructure:

Fully equipped exam rooms and modern EMR with optimized templates, e-faxing, e-referrals, and secure messaging. On-site clinic manager overseeing operations, staffing, scheduling, supplier coordination, and issue resolution. Experienced administrative/MOA team for intake, triage, booking, recalls, DI/lab follow-up, and billing submission support. Billing reviews and performance dashboards to help optimize documentation and billing. Panel-building support (waitlist management, community outreach, and marketing coordinated by the clinic). Established referral pathways and relationships with local diagnostic and specialty services.

Requirements

Education & Experience: MD (or equivalent) from a recognized institution; minimum 1 year of experience as a general/family physician preferred. Licensing: Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and registration with AHCIP. Language of Work: English Assets: Comfort with EMR/quality-improvement workflows. Experience with AVA EMR.
