Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the neurodiverse pediatric population. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing treatment programs to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Duties



Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, and function. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with medical standards. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements:

Registered member and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta Current professional liability insurance Alberta driver's license and reliable vehicle CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Recent clearances: Vulnerable Sector Check & Child Intervention Check Experience working with young children and families Strong communication and collaboration skills

Skills



Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Familiarity with pediatric physical therapy techniques and treatments is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients of all ages. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidiscipplinary teams and education. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $50.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
