We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves assisting with medication preparation, inventory management, and providing excellent service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and organizing medication supplies.
Provide support in patient care by answering questions, providing medication information, and ensuring a positive experience.
Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
Assist in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
Previous hospital experience is preferred to understand the dynamics of a healthcare setting.
Pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable for familiarity with pharmacy operations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
Excellent patient care skills to ensure that all patients receive compassionate and professional service.
