Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team, to work Wednesday to Friday (9am-5 pm). The ideal candidate will have a background in retail pharmacy operations and possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and pharmaceutical services
*Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Maintain proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Experience
*Required Skills:
- Experience in retail pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology and medication administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy assistant
- Familiarity with Propel Rx pharmacy software system
- Knowledge of insurance billing procedures
