We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. This role provides essential support in pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and excellent patient care. Responsibilities
Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
Prepare prescription labels and ensure accuracy of medication information
Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient interactions
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
Follow all safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the pharmacy area
Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
Skills
Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members
Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on safety and accuracy
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus
