We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
Must be flexible to work weekday evenings and weekends.
There is a very high learning curve here. You must be prepared to study and learn the software and operations. If you have little prior pharmacy experience, the learning curve will be even higher.
No temporary summer positions. The candidate is required for a long term commitment.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and receiving supplies.
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns related to medications.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and pharmacy policies.
Support the pharmacy team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Must speak English fluently.
Must have prior experience in a pharmacy or be a graduate of a pharmacy technician program.
Knowledge of Nexxsys or PropelRx is an asset.
Ability to speak Italian is an asset but not necessary
