Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and maintaining pharmacy operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a clinical setting and contribute to patient care through efficient pharmacy services. Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety standards and cleanliness protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth medication distribution and patient support

Skills

Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Patient care orientation with a compassionate approach to assisting others Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and focus

Evening and weekend shifts required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
