Job Description

Cabbagetown Pharmacy (downtown Toronto) is looking for an new Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team on. Salary will depend on experience. Registered Techs, Pharmacy Students and Pharmacy Interns are welcome to apply.

Hours: 20-35 hours/week. Flexibility for exact schedule on Mon - Fri basis.

Responsibilities:

Assist in dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Receive and process prescription orders from customers or healthcare professionals. Measure, count, and package medications accurately. Prepare labels for medication containers. Maintain inventory of medications and supplies. Monitor stock levels and place orders for replenishment. Check the expiration dates of medications and remove expired stock. Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and assisting customers. Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register. Maintain patient records and update relevant information. File insurance claims and handle paperwork related to prescriptions. Assist with the compounding of medications, as needed. Use and maintain pharmacy equipment and technology. Adhere to pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality.
Required Qualification and Skills:

Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy Software Exceptional customer service skills, ability to multi-task and work independently Excellent written and oral communication skills Minimum 1 year experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
