Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Support pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
- Process customer transactions at the pharmacy counter
- Assist in the preparation of medications for patients
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding pharmacy operations
Skills
- Experience is preferred but not required. Sufficient on the job training is provided
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
