Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant or Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at

least 2 years of retail pharmacy experience

and will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and maintaining pharmacy operations.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare, with a focus on patient care and medication management. Prior experience in a community pharmacy setting or as a pharmacy technician is highly valued. The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring accurate medication distribution and providing exceptional service to patients.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed Support patient care activities by answering basic questions and providing medication instructions under supervision Prepare and label medications following proper procedures and medical terminology standards Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims when necessary Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient satisfaction

Experience

Previous community Pharmacy experience or pharmacy technician experience. Familiarity with billing third party providers.

Experience using Fillware is required.

Strong understanding of patient care principles within a pharmacy setting Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members Prior experience supporting pharmacy operations or working in a healthcare environment is a plus
