Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This position involves assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to patients in retail setting.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain an organized inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling. Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions regarding medications and pharmacy services. Utilize medical terminology to assist in processing prescriptions and understanding patient needs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records as required. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines within the pharmacy environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus. Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $16.54-$23.96 per hour
