Queen City Wellness Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits Independent complex order entry, address insurance claims and billing issues, flag concerns to pharmacists, and ensure accurate paperwork submission. Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste according to regulations Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with?a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience in advanced skills (e.g., Compounding, compliance packaging, OAT). Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry. Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

32 to 40 hours per week. The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Standard shifts will be scheduled within these hours. 8 hour shifts.
