Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists in dispensing medication accurately and efficiently
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
- Process prescriptions accurately and ensure all necessary information is complete
- Provide quality customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues
- Assist in organizing medications for pharmacist to dispense
- Keep pharmacy work areas clean and organized
Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with pharmacy technician duties
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Experience:
pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
