Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to assist with medication administration in a fast-paced environment, such as a hospital or retail pharmacy.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and organizing medications. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience. Process prescription orders and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients. Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and filing. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is required. 2-3 years Kroll experience required. Familiarity with hospital settings or retail pharmacy operations is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing medication administration accurately.
