Help assisting with dispensing prescriptions, managing in pharmacy services in order to provide efficient care to the patients with exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Greet patients promptly and provide friendly, professional front-line support in person and over the phone, directing clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
Prescription Processing:
Receive prescription orders, collect and accurately enter patient information and prescription details into the computer system (experience with Propel Rx software is an asset).
Medication Preparation:
Assist pharmacists in preparing, counting, measuring, packaging, and labelling medications with precision and accuracy.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage pharmacy stock levels, place orders, receive deliveries, stock shelves, and remove expired medications.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate patient records and confidential information, manage paperwork, and handle billing and insurance claims efficiently.
Cash Handling:
Operate the cash register/POS system and process payments for prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
Workplace Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and privacy regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmacy or a fast-paced retail/customer service environment is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficient computer skills and the ability to quickly learn pharmacy software (PropelRx)

Exceptional accuracy and a strong commitment to detail are essential in all tasks.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with patients and colleagues with empathy and clarity.
Organization:
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.

A motivated individual who works well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Availability:
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, which may include days, evenings, and alternating Saturdays.
