We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications. Support inventory management by checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and organizing medication storage. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication safety. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining pharmacy equipment. Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and best practices to enhance service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience in patient care settings, particularly within hospitals, is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration processes will be beneficial for this role.

Pay: $16.68-$22.03 per hour
