Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will support pharmacists and registered technicians in providing exceptional patient care, medication dispensing and ensuring the efficient operation of the dispensary within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Utilize different technologies to assist with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently (Propel Rx, ScriptPro) Prepare and package prescriptions accurately for patient pickup or delivery Maintain organized inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies Provide excellent patient care by handling inquiries and offering guidance under supervision Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with great attention to detail Support medication administration processes as needed, including billing, insurance processing, documentation and record keeping Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations

Requirements

Experience in a retail pharmacy setting (minimum 2 years) Knowledge and experience with Propel Rx dispensary software an asset Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Excellent organizational skills with strengths in attention to detail Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
