Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Prior experience in a retail pharmacy is required.
Duties
Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently Prepare and package prescriptions for patient pickup or delivery Maintain organized inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with attention to detail Support medication administration processes as needed, including documentation and record keeping Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Requirements
Prior experience in a retail pharmacy setting ( minimum 2 years ) Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Commitment to patient care and confidentiality Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Work Location: In person
