Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy staff in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will play a vital role in medication administration, assisting with inventory management, and providing exceptional service to patients.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. Provide medication administration support under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information. Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders for medications and supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in a hospital or pharmacy setting. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medications, including instructions for use and potential side effects. Utilize medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and communicate with healthcare professionals. Support patient care initiatives by providing assistance during medication therapy management.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient care. A commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
