Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Process prescription orders and manage medication refills in a timely manner. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management. Uphold cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy workspace to promote a safe environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a community setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration processes is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care and supporting overall health outcomes. Must be able to work flexible hours, or weekends as needed.
