Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with medication entry, dispensing, including preparing and labeling prescriptions accurately Manage inventory by receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining proper stock levels and checking expiry Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions and updating medical records with medical terminology knowledge including the refills. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, offering medication information, and ensuring a positive experience Support medication administration processes by preparing medications and compounding

Experience

Previous 1 year of pharmacy assistant experience or related community/retail/compounding support role preferred Familiarity and Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice Experience with KROLL software and Blister packing is required. Understanding of generic/brand names, dealing with insurance plans Strong understanding of medication management within acute care or critical care settings preferred Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced healthcare environments while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
