About Us:

We are a dedicated telepharmacy service that brings essential pharmacy care to the remote communities of Yukon, including Dawson City. Our goal is to provide high-quality, accessible pharmacy services to patients who may not otherwise have direct access to an in-person pharmacy. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Assistant will work closely with our pharmacists to support the delivery of telepharmacy services. You will play a key role in processing prescriptions, managing patient records, assisting with medication inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Process and verify medication orders, including labeling, packaging, and medication storage. Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls, emails, and virtual inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals. Assist with inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and ensuring medications are stored according to regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with privacy legislation. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients in the community. Utilize telecommunication tools and software to manage and process prescriptions and patient inquiries remotely.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is an asset, but we are also open to training the right candidate. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with patients and healthcare professionals in a remote setting. Comfort with technology and virtual tools, as the role requires working within a telepharmacy system. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. A genuine passion for helping others and contributing to community health.

Compensation:

Salary is negotiable based on previous experience.
