We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmacy setting, particularly in hospitals, and possess a strong understanding of medication administration and medical terminology.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns from patients regarding their medications.
Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and medication safety.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining pharmacy cleanliness.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
Good experience with Kroll Software
