Job Description

Hello, we are based in Toronto but we are starting to get an uptick of service requests for the Hamilton-Burlington-Grimsby and surrounding area. We are looking for a licensed exterminator to join our team who is currently looking either for part time work OR for extra work hours on top of your other regular job. As demand grows, this will become a full time position (description below).

As a pest control technician (an "exterminator"), your role will include driving to clients' homes, offices, or commercial locations to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and pest remediation services. You will also be in charge of filling out the appropriate diagnostic report after each visit. If you like to work with your hands in an active work environment while helping people, this is the job for you.

Willing to work a possible combination of weekdays, weekend days, evenings. Occasionally be on call and available to work off-hours for short-notice emergency service calls, etc.
We require applicants to:

Be legally authorized to work in Canada. Hold a G-class driver's license and be an experienced, capable, and safe driver. Have or acquire an Ontario exterminator license for structural extermination. Meet the physical demands of the job including moving and shifting furniture and heavy objects, bending, crouching, wearing a respirator, and occasionally working in confined spaces or at heights. Using leverage and having the strength to safely lift large mattresses and flip couches upside down on one's own is an essential regular task. Be willing to commit to at least 1-2+ years of full-time work. Sign a non-compete and confidentiality contract prior to starting training. Pass a Police / background check. Be fluent in English. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Schedule:


Note - the $30/hour is not immediate. It commences only after the apprenticeship and probation periods.
1) Training: Start at $20/hr training & apprenticeship (typically 1 - 6 weeks depending on prior experience), You must obtain your pest control license to exit this phase.
2) Probation (6-month period): Raise to $25/hr (Starts only after completion of training AND obtaining provincial exterminator license)
3) Raise to $30/hour + performance bonuses, and eligible for company health benefits plan (dental, health practitioners, vision, etc).
