Pest Control Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations
- Determine the type of pest and extent of the infestation
- Develop and implement effective pest control treatment plans
- Apply pesticides and other pest control products in accordance with safety guidelines
- Seal off entry points to prevent future infestations
- Educate customers on pest prevention measures and provide recommendations for maintaining a pest-free environment
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and complete necessary paperwork

Qualifications:
- Must have a valid pest technician license.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in pest control or related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of common pests, their habits, and effective treatment methods
- Ability to use hand tools (if applicable)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

pest control: 1 year (required)
Language:

English (required)
Licence/Certification:

Pesticide certification in Nova Scotia (required)
Work Location: In person
