Job Description

We are looking for a Personal Support Worker to work in a home setting in Richmond Hill area (near King Rd).

This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week.

Scope and Responsibilities

Provide companionship to the client through initiating conversation, small table activities, etc. Provide emotional support by listening to their needs, being attentive to the client's likes and dislikes, providing encouragement and reassurance to promote social interaction. Ensure client safety is maintained at all times by ensuring falls prevention strategies are implemented. Assist client with activities of daily living. Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall well-being. Prepare meals for the client and assist with feeding. Assist with light housekeeping such as washing the dishes, keeping rooms tidy, etc.

Who We Are Looking For

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate Has a recent Police Clearance for employment Has 2-5 years of experience as a PSW working with patients with Alzheimer's
