Personal Injury Lawyer - Motor-Vehicle Focus (Ontario and Alberta based)
HSP Law is looking for an energetic lawyer to join our growing personal-injury practice. You will manage various motor-vehicle accident files from initial investigation through resolution, for cases in Alberta and Ontario.
The position is full time and is highly flexible: work from home most of the time, use the office when needed, and meet in person periodically for training, collaboration, and rapport-building.
Your day-to-day work will include interviewing clients and witnesses, gathering and analyzing medical and accident-benefits records, assessing liability and damages, drafting pleadings, motion records, affidavits and mediation briefs, attending discoveries, and leading settlement negotiations. You will enjoy significant autonomy while being supported by senior counsel and experienced staff.
We are looking for a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario with ideally roughly one to three years of personal-injury experience. Interest or experience in Alberta personal-injury law is a definite plus as Alberta Injury Law will be a focal point of the work completed. Strong written advocacy skills, empathetic client communication, and comfort managing deadlines and juggling many files across jurisdictions are essential.
We offer a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, full LawPRO coverage, CPD funding, paid bar fees in additional provinces once approved, and all necessary technology for seamless remote practice.
Send your resume, a brief cover letter, references (where available) and one writing sample to bobby@hsplaw.ca with "PI Lawyer Application" in the subject line. Applications are reviewed as received and remain confidential. We will only contact candidates of interest. We will only review applications that additionally email us the application.
